Lectio Divina is the ancient spiritual practice of holy reading. As we read a selected scripture text, we listen for a word or phrase that speaks to us, that touches the heart, that leads us to know that God is with us and here for us. This prayer also invites a period of brief sharing and an opportunity to pray for each other.

Psalm 46 tells us, “Be still and know that I am God.” Centering prayer invites us to enter into intentional silence and stillness so that we may simply be present with God. This prayer is more about being than doing; more about communion with God than talking with God. The method of this prayer is simple – 20 minutes of sitting in contemplative silence. Please join us for the opportunity to rest – in the silence of God, in the love of Christ, in the peace of the Spirit, and experience how centering prayer can be a path to spiritual transformation.
