Connection Groups

Connection Groups at Christ Church are small groups who gather together to grow spiritually, pray faithfully and serve compassionately together in order that they may increase their capacity to love God above all things and their neighbors as themselves.

Our small groups are one of the primary places where authentic community is experienced at Christ Church.  Groups gather to share in the journey of faith.  Moreover, these groups provide respite from the anxieties and pressures of life in New York City, as friendships are deepened and individuals strengthened in community.

Below are our Open Connection Groups:

Young Women’s Connection Group We meet twice a month to discuss a book or current topics and how our faith relates. We seek to gain a better understanding of how best to encourage a spiritual life for ourselves while we form deep connections with one another through scripture, prayer, and fellowship.

Prayer PartnersEveryone is welcome to join us as we pray over the prayer requests we receive weekly. Because Christ said, “For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them,” we believe that in our joining together in prayer, Christ hears our requests. Pray with us. Thursdays, 12:30 p.m., Christ Church Prayer Line.

LGBTQ Connection Group – Join other LGBTQ members and friends to meet in the evening monthly to discuss a topical book relating to the LGBTQ community and our spiritual lives.

New Parents Connection Group – If you have a new bundle of joy and could use some connection and support with others also on this journey, this is the perfect Connection Group for you. This upcoming group will meet once a month on Sunday during the 10:00 a.m. hour so that childcare can be provided.
