Family Lenten Workshop
Many 20th Century Protestants were reared with few if any traditions or practices for observing the season of Lent. Fairly recently, Christian educators have recognized that the season of Lent and its practices can offer rich growth for children, adults, and families.
Kathryn Carroll and Brian Pinter will offer some ideas, insights, and hands-on materials for you and your children (and youth) to take home to adapt and adopt for your family’s strengthening and deepening during the 6 weeks of Lent. There is theological and scientific evidence that shared traditions and rituals make a profound impact on the formation of children and their ongoing spiritual identity and maturity throughout their lives.
