Advent with the Psalms – Rev. Mickey Correa

December 20th, 2018 by Mickey Correa

Psalm 24:7

Let the Lord enter; he is the king of glory.

As the time draws nearer to the celebration of Christmas, busyness may get the best of us so much so that we might just forget what it all means.  Simply put, it’s the time of the year to remember that God wants to be made known in our lives.  And honestly, throughout the year God has been trying to get your attention!  God comes into our midst not always in grandeur or sublime events.  It’s the small nudges of grace that encourage us to love, forgive and do simple, kind gestures where God’s gentleness can be sensed.  So as you get ready to celebrate (and if you can, you should), don’t do it alone, let God in.  Let God in, through how you love and act in the world.  Not only will you be richer in spirit, but the world will forever be changed because you let God do God’s work in you and through you.

Prayer: Holy One, let me know that you always want to be present in my life.  May I let you in and become a symbol of your grace in the world around me.
