Advent with the Psalms – Andrea Andrade

December 7th, 2018 by Andrea Andrade

Psalm 27:1

The LORD is my light and my salvation;

whom should I fear?

The LORD is my life’s refuge;

of whom should I be afraid?

For some, faith is synonymous with weakness. But Jesus teaches us that faith is not weakness at all. It is the conviction that you hold a power greater than your human limitations. Faith is a virtue, it is proactive, a power from the divine that elicits action. By faith, we wake up each morning and see the wonders God has made with God’s sole word. By faith, we live each day with a purpose of giving from what we have received. By faith, we turn our fears into courage and plans into action. By faith, we see that some things are more important than the fear and limitations we think surround us. This Advent we are called to say from a place of faith, “The Lord is our light and our salvation,” whom should we fear?

“By Faith, man can overcome his human limitations.” – Naason Joaquin Garcia, Apostle of Jesus Christ
