Advent Reflections – Greetings

November 26th, 2016 by Leslie Houseworth-Fields

Dear Friends,

Advent is once again upon us. It is a season when we reflect on Christ’s first coming and look to the future with hope for his return. During Advent, we are invited to look inward with a spirit of preparation and repentance, making room for Christ to inhabit our hearts. We are also invited to look out to see where Christ is already present among us in the world.

As is our tradition, the Christ Church program staff has prepared short reflections to help guide you through this liturgical season. These writings are inspired by the Advent hymns and carols that tell the story of the coming of our Lord. We pray that these reflections and prayers guide your spiritual life as we journey to Bethlehem.

May you and your family have a blessed Advent and very Merry Christmas!

Sincerely,
Rev. Leslie Houseworth-Fields
