Dear Parents,
Confirmation classes at Christ Church are beginning in January 2018. This year the preparation process will occur from January through May, and will consist of eight Sunday morning meetings and three outreach projects. The year’s activities will culminate with the Rite of Confirmation on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at the 11:00 service.
Our goal in preparing for the Rite of Confirmation is to inspire in each confirmand a vital, dynamic relationship with the living God. We will explore how your children can foster this relationship and why it matters. We also hope to give them tools or disciplines that will sustain this relationship for the rest of their lives.
Confirmation is a serious commitment, and we hope that this information session helps you and your children discern if this is the right time to make such a commitment. To be faithful to our process, we expect confirmands to participate in all sessions and activities. A proposed calendar of events is included in this letter.
The clergy and lay leaders are grateful to accompany your sons and daughters on the journey towards embracing their faith and reaffirming the vows that were made for them at baptism.
